I was staying at an extended Stay hotel and working at the Riverwalk in New Orleans. Being from out of town I was very apprehensive when my transmission seemed to go out. Knowing that if I pick the wrong shop could be very expensive. I went to Precision Transmissions and not only found people from manager down that knew their jobs but they were honest and forth right. No fancy garbage just honest appraisal of my problem which they fixed and I picked up my ride by the next morning. I just brought my car to Precision Transmission for a second opinion. Boy, am I glad i did. I initially took it to AJ's transmission, off of Causeway, 3 days later he called and said he needed to rebuild my transmission for over $2k. I thought theres no way, I've had cars when the transmission went out and this was nothing like that, it felt like a small problem that could be fixed rather than overhauled, so I listened to my gut and got referred to precision. Took the car over there, one day later he said there was a leak in the pan and the fluid was low. He ran further diagnostics, fixed the codes and now only $260 lighter am picking my car back up today after only 2 days there, fixed and ready to go. It's hard to find reliable professionals because of all of the guys out there that think they will get more money by rebuilding transmissions, when actually they got no money and no customer, I will tell everyone from now on to go straight to Precision, I will tell my regular mechanic to refer his customers there, and I will take all of my cars there as well..
